A BIT ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

We are a year round preschool and daycare ministry of First Baptist Church Clovis. Bright Beginnings Learning Center began in 1981 as a morning kindergarten readiness program and went to a full day care in 1985. In 1991 we became members of the Association of Christian Schools International (A.C.S.I.). Our most recent accomplishment was to receive accreditation from the A.C.S.I. in 2000.

Age: 2 ½ thru 6 (potty trained) years old. 6-9 year olds for before & after school care and summer care.

Ratio: We maintain a student/teacher ratio of 1:10 children in our Pre K classes, a 1:8 ratio in our 3 year old class and a 1:14 ratio in our grade school class. These ratios reflect our enrichment times.

Teachers: Our teachers are practicing Christians from various denominations. Our school takes pride in a low teacher turn over rate. The average length of employment is 7 years.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe and affirm that the Holy Scriptures are the inerrant Word of God and that Jesus is God’s only Son who died on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven to secure eternal salvation for all who repent and believe in Him.

We believe that a child’s primary role models and teachers are his/her parents. We further believe that the family as ordained by God and set forth in the Holy Scriptures consists of a father, mother, and child(ren).

We believe that all human life is created in the image of God and therefore possesses unique sanctity and dignity, that God has created each child to be distinctive and individual and that each child’s growth and development are influenced by his/her temperament, genetic make-up and environment.

We affirm our partnership with the child’s family in guiding a child’s growth and development. The school is committed to encouraging the development of each child’s full potential and to fostering each child’s love and respect for others.

We are founded on Biblical principles. Therefore, the school strives to help each child mature to his/her fullest potential in each of the five development areas: spiritual, social, emotional, academic and physical.
